Holidays over:(

Well school holidays are over and back to reality for us. My little ones are fast becoming not so little.
I managed to finish one quilt, which is for me, a memory quilt of my girls. I also completed 3 little aprons, for buddung master chefs lol, 4 library bags and 2 skirts. I have really enjoyed playing with quilting fabric to make other things.
Well the kids are watching a movie and I have house work to do so off to it.

Last day of school :)

Well I am a happy little camper. My girls finished school today and we have started school holidays. I have so much planned I hope we get to most of it. Many trips to the pool, some craft (of course) visiting friends and family, and hopefully alot of time just chilling out.
looking forward to it !

Happy Birthday Jane

Well first things first, Happy birthday Jane Austen..my absolutely favourite author. Which reminds me I must one day make the quilt that Jane Austen made , a must have for all lovers of quilts and Jane's writings. I found it one day while googling :) http://www.jasa.net.au/quilt.htm is a link to a page which has a description on how to make it it is listed as a free pattern. There are also other sites out there, one which you can purchase the full pattern to this one and also one which are described in the book Pride and Predjudice http://lindafranz.com/ has one thet looks great and can be purchased on download.

Amelia's quilt

Amelia's quilt is flying butterflies. I followed a pattern but it didnt include any applique so I added the 4 butterflies in the middle of my own design, with Amelia's help of course.

Molly's quilt

The next is Molly's it was machine pieced and hand quilted with random love hearts, so she could sleep under all my love. This one is all my own design,

2nd one up

The next one is the 2nd one I made, it is machine pieced, I didn't have a rotary cutter back then, it is looking a bit old, thats because it is :) I used christmassy colours, I enjoyed playing with the block to see how the effect changed putting the bolder colours in different places.

quilts

Thought it might me time to post some pictures of my quilts:)
I have loved everyone so much, as does everyone. most of them are made with a pattern but there are some that I have designed myself. I hope anyone that sees them likes them too.
the first one I will put up is the first, as it should be. I made this one in 1998 it is hand pieced and hand quitled. I put on the border with my machine. It is a nine patch sampler that I did through an adult education course.
